Ashley and Matt had such a beautiful fall day for their October wedding. October is by far one of the prettiest months of the year for weddings but it can also be quite tricky regarding weather! I remember shooting Stephanie and Ryan’s wedding on the same Saturday last year and it being at least 20 degrees colder then! Luckily we were able to have such a gorgeous day! As you may remember from Ashley and Matt’s engagement session blog post, they lived on the same street growing up! However they didn’t know each other since they attended different high schools. Fast forward a number of years and they met, fell in love, and now here is there wedding day! It seemed only fitting to start the day at their childhood homes where they had grown up and would eventually find each other. Hometown traditions are very important to these two and they even married in the same church that Ashley’s parents were married in. Bridal portraits were at the Westmoreland County Courthouse which doesn’t necessarily sound like a fun place to shoot. I was LOVING it! Neutral stone and open shade are a photographer’s best friend. We were able to snap a few more bridal portraits right outside of the Ramada! You would never guess that this beautiful field was right next to a hotel parking lot!
Thank you so much Ashley and Matt for allowing us to take part in your amazing wedding day! We wish you a lifetime of blessings and happiness!
